Our roots
We are carrying forward the love, connection, and openness to each other that was created in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
During our shared catastrophe, people in the Swannanoa Valley connected with neighbors and community members across neighborhoods and differences. We showed up for each other, supported each other, and held each other. We kept each other safe, fed, and sheltered.
We are building on this experience, collaborating and communicating with communities across the Swannanoa Valley to build a shared future.
